Data Privacy Agreements

In Ohio, school districts are legally required to sign Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs) with any third-party vendor that collects, stores, or processes student data. These agreements—heavily shaped by Ohio Senate Bill 29 and the Ohio Student Records Privacy Act (R.C. § 3319.321)—ensure that student information is used securely and exclusively for educational purposes.
